Over the past few weeks, the WCA Executive Committee has been working closely with WHSAA and following the lead of our governor’s office, health departments, and others, including the NHSACA.  Realizing that (from the WHSAA website) “our highest priority, as always, is ensuring the health and safety of our students, schools, and communities,” we have decided the following for our summer plans:

  • There will be NO All-Star events
  • Our Hall of Fame inductees, Coaches of the Year, and other award recipients will be awarded at a later date TBA.  Some of these 2020 awards could be done in conjunction with the 2021 winners at the banquet next year.
  • Our coaches’ certification classes and clinic sessions will be done virtually.  While we’re not sure exactly what this will entail, we will keep you posted – please stay tuned to the WCA website and your email for further information.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are confident that we are ‘Cowboy Strong’ and we’ll all do the best we can to get through this together!!
